The book is about a kid who wants to be the best he can, but has problems he is worried about. He is trying to have a great year on the track team, get into a good college and hopefully be on the track team and do well in school. Right now he is worried about drugs being found in his locker that a friend put in there. So everything is up in the air right now.

It is interesting that a high school student is working with the news paper on the obituary section. This just seemed like a tough area to be working in for a student. Although the main character Mike seems to be handling his job very well.
